PROJECTS
Inheriting tradition, creating my own voice
My artistic work is rooted in the classical cello tradition, which I approach not only as a performer, but as a space for creation.
I understand interpretation as a living process: a way of engaging with music that can also lead to new artistic work. From this perspective, my practice develops in two parallel directions: the inclusion of women composers in my concert programmes and the development of my own compositional voice.
My compositions are based on a direct and physical relationship with the cello, shaped by years of performance experience. They seek a musical language in which tradition and contemporary expression coexist naturally, without stylistic boundaries.
This ongoing work is currently developing through new pieces for solo cello and ensemble, forming the beginning of a personal body of repertoire.

EGON PIANO TRIO
Egon Trio is an established ensemble of driven young artists from Taiwan, South Korea and Spain, with a shared intention of pursuing a fresh, vibrant approach to trio playing. Already showing a unique group dynamic, they are excited to develop and expand their musical language, reaching from the 18th century through to the contemporary sound world.
The trio was founded at the Sándor Vegh Institute of Mozarteum University, taking classes with. Violinist Cibran Sierra-Vázquez (founder of Cuarteto Quiroga) and also cellist Heidi Litschauer, who was member of Wiener Trio. Currently, they are studying for a master's degree in chamber music at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München under the guidance of Professor Dirk Mommertz (co-founder of the Fauré Quartet)
In 2023 Egon trio was selected to participate in the "ARD International Music Competition" in the category of piano trio.

"CELLOVERSUM"
A universe of sounds and styles, transferred to 24 cello strings: from Piazzolla's sensual Libertango, the imaginary worlds of Bernstein to the truly ingenious, light-pulsing new creations from Matthias Bartolomey's own pen.
Wow. What a sound! They blow you away with their virtuoso power, the six ambassadors from a distant CelloVersum. And yet they can also be infinitely tender and gentle.”
Director: Matthias Bartolomey, cello
Cellists: Leonhard Roczek, Florian Eggner, Sofía Torres Durán, Lenz Defregger, Miriam Dorner.
